Ghosts 720p (iDevice Ready)
Happy Halloween to all of our readers! As a special (trick or) treat, we are happy to share with you this special iDevice ready edition of Michael Jackson’s Ghosts.
Created from a 720p source (which was itself taken from a 1080i HD Broadcast) this iDevice (iPod/iPad/iPhone/Apple TV) ready edition is a much smaller filesize, while maintaing the fantastic HD quality.
It is compressed using the RAR format, and split into 4 separate files.
We hope you enjoy, and again, Happy Halloween from all of us at the One White Glove blog.

A Note on the Transfer:
As nice as it is to have an HD version of this film it still remains a fairly poor transfer. The black/white levels are all out of whack, and the colour timing is off - I have a feeling this was scanned from a negative (hence the grain and dirt and hairs) and not re-color timed. Of course this is speaking as a film nerd. It’s still nicer than some of the lower quality TV rips we’ve had in the past.
Dangerous: Bonus Cuts (Unreleased)

It’s Christmas so we’ll keep this brief for now. A full post will come, likely tomorrow.
In the mean time, enjoy the unreleased second disc from the Dangerous Special Edition.
One White Glove is proud to present:
Dangerous: Special Edition Bonus Cuts
Includes High Resolution artwork created exclusively for this release. Special thanks to the fans at MJ Hideout who got together the money to purchase this disc and eventually share it with the world.
Dangerous Demos - Original DAT Leak

The year was approximately 2002. It was a pretty interesting year to be a Michael Jackson fan. Jackson was insisting that Tommy Mattola was the devil due to the “failure” of his album Invincible. Blanket was born, and their was a great deal of controversy surrounding that. Jackson had made an cameo in Men In Black II. We even got a new album, although it wasn’t much more than a greatest hits compilation. However, it was also a special year thanks to some dedicated fans. We saw leaks of several brand new Jackson tracks, including Escape (often mistitled Xscape) and What More Can I Give. However the biggest leak was found on the site MJ Hideout. It seems one dedicated fan had leaked a collection of studio demos from the Dangerous sessions.
The set included “demos” of several songs from the Jackson album, Dangerous, as well as a few new previously unreleased tracks, as well as an early demo of Earth Song (which would later be released on the HIStory album). Two of the leaked songs, Monkey Business and For All Time, would later be released officially on The Ultimate Collection and Thriller 25 (though the version of For All Time found on Thriller 25 appears to be an earlier version with new vocal overdubs). A few of the other unreleased tracks found their way onto the second-disc of the Dangerous Special Edition, however in the end it was decided to not include the bonus disc. That bonus disc eventually found its way online, commonly under the title of “The Real Special Edition”.
Over the years these demos have circulated in varying quality, both in their original forms and with some fan made edits. What we present are the original demos as they were originally leaked. Please replace the versions you may have with these ones as they are as they were originally delivered online, with no edits, enhancements, or modifications.
Now remember, these were originally leaked as “Demos” however some say this is not a fair name, as they could in many cases be considered simply alternate takes. However I’m going by what the original leaker called them.
These are the ones that came from the DAT (digital audio tape) and as such contain some tape hiss (though not enough to make them listenable). In some cases they may sound almost identical to the originals, and some have subtle differences. As for the unreleased tracks, these are different from the ones that were eventually leaked with “The Real Special Edition”. Again, sometimes the differences are subtle but you can hear them. Again, this may be due to alternate takes.
Tracklisting:
01. Jam
02. In The Closet
03. Remember the Time
04. Black or White
05. Who Is It
06. Give Into Me
07. Keep The Faith
08. Gone to Soon
09. Dangerous
10. What About Us (Earth Song Demo)
11. MONKEY BUSINESS*
12. For All Time (Unreleased)^
13. If You Don’t Love Me (Unreleased)
14. Serious Effect (Unreleased)
* — NOT INCLUDED AS THIS HAS BEEN RELEASED OFFICIALLY (I hear no difference between the two, simply quality improvements for the Box Set)
^ — Yes, a VERSION of this was included on the Thriller 25 boxset, however this version is different. Some said the song was recorded twice, during the Thriller Era and then again for the Dangerous sessions. I don’t know what the truth is, however this is different and as such was included.

Note: there are two other compilations of demos out there, both of which are fan made and fake. A two disc “promo” disc featuring “studio demos” for songs not included in this release was being sold by several “fans” and contained homemade remixes. It should be avoided at all costs. The second disc simply compiled the tracks from this original DAT release and “The Real Special Edition”, although many of the tracks were transcoded to a higher bitrate, despite the original source files being 256 kbs. Again, this is the version to have.

A Place With No Name (Snippit)
On July 16th TMZ, a celebrity gossip site, leaked a short 24 second sample of a “new” unreleased Jackson track entitled “A Place with No Name”.
From TMZ:
The song — “A Place with No Name” — sounds similar to the song “A Horse with No Name” released by the group America back in 1971. We’re told several years ago America’s manager gave his group’s permission for Michael Jackson to record the song, “A Place with No Name” — despite the similarity.
America’s current manager, Jim Morey, who was also Michael’s manager in the late 80’s and early 90’s, tells us, “The band was honored that Michael chose to do their song and they hope it becomes available for all Michael’s fans to hear.”
It’s unclear when Michael recorded the song.
However, we have the rest of the story.
A fan from the MJJC Forums named Mickyj007 (the same fan who leaked “We Be Ballin” last summer) managed to get in touch with the Bassist/Engineer (whom he quotes as CJ) of the track and asked him a few questions about it. Here’s what he had to say:
He has no idea how TMZ got even a snippet of this song. This snippet is just a rough edit, he believes (nothing final). He doesn’t even have a copy of the track himself and told me Mike used to comb the f#^k out of the studio every day after each session collecting any DAT tapes or CDRs that were recorded during the day. He was the only one that ever left with any material. He also said he believed Mike could have close to a 1000 peices of material (in some form), with at least a few hundred in post-production stage, atleast.
He said Mike payed him ‘extremely well’, and they had to all sign ‘scary contracts’ before taking up employment with Mike and the team. We’ve heard that before!
A few days later, he posted another email from his source:
“Hmm, not sure how TMZ got it. MJ’s stuff goes through lots of hands in the process but i’m curious too about why a clip. Maybe that’s all TMZ has and they’re making it look like they have new material?? meh
Yes, i worked on some great songs for sure. he also had lots of false starts with producers and writers with songs that didn’t get very far. But MJ has many worked all the way through ready to mix that will never see the light of day i bet.
I was 2nd engineer at the record plant on Michael’s sessions while he was looking for an engineer to vibe with. He went through half a dozen that couldn’t keep up with his work style. I kept the session rolling when there were problems with flow, and we got along so he said; be my engineer. We were at the record plant and then moved to Record One studios for sessions in 99. That would have been Invincible stuff but MJ was always in the studio doing something. Projects and sessions blur together then end up being records.
He liked me because I think he trusted me to some level. I’m only 2 years younger than Mike so we talked a bit too and i wasn’t gonna mess with being blessed with that. He wanted a fair shake so i gave it to him. I’m going to post how i got the gig and some other cool bits soon. Would love to hear some of your collection”
There you have it. The complete (as of yet) story of Place With No Name (which may, or may not, be the actual title of the track). It remains to be seen if there is a complete audio of the song out there. There’s been a fake demo posted to various sites (such as YouTube), as well as fan made extended versions, however the only “official” version of the track is the original leak from TMZ, which clocks in at a mere 24 seconds.

Royal Concert Live in Brunei
Ask a Michael Jackson fan what their favourite concert of all time is and you’ll probably get a few different answers. But one concert will probably crop up quite a bit, and that’s the Royal Concert from Brunei.
The show was a special one-off concert in celebration of the 50th birthday of Hassanal Bolkiah, the Sultan of Brunei. The show was notable for containing a unique set-list (song from both the Dangerous tour and the upcoming HIStory tour) and for the fact that many of the songs were sung live (the HIStory tour contained many lip-synced songs due to the long length of the tour - nearly 3 years - and Jackson’s laryngitis) including an incredible vocal ad-lib section at the end of Earth Song. For more information on the show itself check out the Wikipedia entry.
Over the years it’s held somewhat of a mythic status and the video of the show (which was known to exist) was considered by many fans to be the true Holy Grail of Jackson concerts (it should be noted that the video has leaked and is available - but that’s another story for another post).
A bootleg CD was eventually released and subsequently shared across the internet. For those who have not heard it, you simply must. It’s an absolutely incredible show - a must have for all Jackson fans.
Currently the highest quality copy we know of was 192 kbs. However, since this was released as a CD at one point there are still masters out there in higher quality. If anyone has this disc and can share a high quality (FLAC preferred) copy please contact me (onewhitegloveblog at gmail dot com or leave a comment).
For the rest of you, be prepared to hear the greatest Jackson concert ever recorded!
I’ve also included CD covers from the incredibly talented Faber. There was a time when his site, fabercovers.tk, was one of the best on the web in terms of Jackson material. It has since gone dark (the site does still exist but hasn’t changed in years). Be sure to check it out for some of the highest quality, most professional looking covers imaginable.

Billie Jean (Bushwacka White Label Remix)
I don’t actually have much information on this one. What I do know is that it is one of my all time favourite remixes of my all time favourite song (Jackson or otherwise) and clocks in at an astounding 11 minutes!
And as if it wasn’t enough that you can listen to it here I’m even going to hook you up with a FLAC file ripped straight from the vinyl that you can download.
How’s that for generosity?
